Acupuncture Self Help for Jet Lag

So you want to know if there is Acupuncture self help for jet lag? Yes there is, just read on my friends.

Many years ago (2001) I learned acupuncture from a very well respected man, Dr. Amaro. He taught me what he had learned over decades of himself learning from the masters of China, Japan, Okinawa, Vietnam, and probably a few others. He was able to distill down all that information into key facts that I needed to know.

One of those facts is that there are 12 acupuncture meridians that follow a specific path along the course of your body. Another fact is that there are 24 hours in a day. Each one of these 12 acupuncture meridians has a specific 2 hour window when it is the most active meridian.

This is important to know because it can help us keep our body in sync with the current time of day. When would our body clock not be in sync with the current time of day? When we travel great distances to other time zones. We often experience this change in our body’s rhythm as fatigue, sleepiness, and just feeling out of sorts. Otherwise known as “Jet lag”.

If there was a way to get our body clock on the same time as the new time zone we are traveling to, we would experience much less of the negative effects of travel.

Ok, enough talking let’s get into it. Download this self help acupuncture jet leg pdf file. Print it out and look it over. It shows you a 24 hour clock and the acupuncture meridian that is most active during each of the 2 hour windows. There is also 1 acupuncture point on the entire meridian that is the most active point during that window. It is called the “Horary Point” The attached diagrams will help you locate these horary points on your body. Most of them are on the hands and feet with a couple of exceptions that are explained in the download.

You get your body clock in sync with the new time zone you will be flying to by applying these points a day or two in advance of your travel. You don’t need to use needles, you can stimulate the points with a plastic pen cap. Just find the point and tap on it and stimulate it.

Continue doing the points when you arrive at your destination until your body feels well and adjusted . Then a day or two before you return do the points again, only using the time zone of your home.

Chiropractic Dogma is Real (A case of blindness from Migraine Aura cured)

In 2015 I had a patient call me to say she was sitting on her computer and went blind! She wanted to know if there was anything I could do? Honestly I did not know. I never had a case of that in my office before. All I could do was examine her and give it my best try to help.

She actually came in the following day. Her husband led her in to my office because she couldn’t see a thing. She sat down and said it was like a curtain coming down when she lost her sight. She had a terrible migraine and had been to a couple of eye doctors who couldn’t figure out why she was blind.

She also sat in the ER for seven hours waiting to find out why she couldn’t see. She didn’t get an answer. I was her last resort it seemed to try to get some help.

I evaluated her and did find a misalignment in her upper neck. I’ve had good success with a seated style Gonstead adjustment on hard cases so I did that here. As soon as I got the loud release in her neck her sight was restored. I know it’s hard to believe so I got the testimonial from the patient on video. I tell the whole story and also how Chiropractic actually came into being. You can watch it here

Dr. Ebeling Wants to Send You and a Friend to go see the Rolling Stones in Concert!

Every year I have a birthday party for the office. This year I’ll be in practice 29 years.

Party On!

We have a big party where existing patients can come get a free adjustment, have some food, and be entertained by music. Oh yeah and we have a prize giveaway. The last few years I’ve given away a brand new stainless steel gas BBQ.

This year I wanted to step it up a bit. So I’m giving away 2 tickets to go see the Rolling Stones in concert here in Denver 8/10/2019.

How to Win!

To get into the drawing is easy. Just refer in a new patient between now and Saturday 8/3/2019, the day of the party. Your friend gets a free consultation, chiropractic evaluation, and I’ll even throw in a free 20 minutes hydromassage. And your name goes in the fishbowl for referring them.

Call (303) 377-1755 to get an appointment. I’m at 3333 South Bannock St in Englewood, CO 80110.

What to know if you had a car accident in Colorado

How we usually feel

It’s natural to feel that the other party that caused your car accident should be responsible for the payments of your treatment. I get it. I totally understand how you feel. I’d feel the same way.

Reality Check

This is to explain how Colorado law actually works when it comes to car accidents.

Because there is no guarantee that the other person who caused your crash will actually have any insurance, Colorado decided to make it so your car insurance would be the one to pay for your medical treatments regardless of who was at fault or received a ticket.

This way you don’t have to be “up the creek without a paddle” when it comes to getting the care that you need.

That makes sense but I’m worried about my rates going up

Now some people may be concerned that their insurance rates would go up from reporting a claim. This is not what happens. You were not at fault. The police did not give you a ticket. You are not a bad driver. It was the other guy. He ran the red light, not you. Your rates will not go up from using the insurance coverage that you paid for.

Med Pay

The insurance coverage we are talking about is called “MedPay”. It is part of your policy or at least it should be. Med Pay gives you up to $5,000 for medical treatments. It is similar to having a health insurance plan. It covers you for auto related injuries.

Will I need an attorney?

Sometimes people have declined this coverage without really understanding what they are doing. If you need treatment and don’t have this coverage, well now you will need an attorney because you are considered a “3rd party”. A 3rd party is not covered under the insurance of the other guy. His insurance only covers him.

The attorney is there to “sue the other insurance company” to make sure your treatments are paid for. They also make sure you get some compensation for “pain and suffering” and aggravation you had to go through because of the other guy’s negligence. If you try to settle with an insurance company without an attorney, you won’t get what you are entitled to.

Also by not having MedPay on your policy, I’ve seen it take up to 2 years to get your claim settled. The wheels of justice turn slowly.

What else can I do?

If you are in this situation and don’t want to get an attorney, I do have some other options we can discuss. Using your private health insurance is one. The other is using an outside company called Injury Finance. They will have you sign a lien on your case and settlement but they will fund your care so you can at least get treatment now.

Chiropractic nose adjustment deviated septum

We did the chiropractic nose adjustment deviated septum and once again was a resounding success! This gentleman was referred in by his son who also had issues with a deviated septum.

You can watch the video here.

We start by determining which side is the blockage. In his case it was the left side. It has always been the left side for his entire life it seems, like 30 years.

Within 2 minutes his deviated septum was fixed with no down time from surgery. He said it was well worth the $300.00 to fix it.

What other options might someone with a deviated septum have? You could go get the surgery also known as rhinoplasty, which will cost about six thousand dollars. Not to mention the cost of downtime from work, having to stay at home and recover.

So which would you prefer?

Slipped disc chiropractor Denver

When someone says they need a “slipped disc chiropractor” because they have a “slipped disc”, that’s not really what’s happening. A disc can not actually “slip”. That’s because it’s a tissue, and firmly attached to the vertebrae above and below it. So it doesn’t “slip out of place”.

What they really mean is that the disc is inflamed, becoming larger, and putting pressure on a nerve.

You see the nerve comes out through an opening between two adjacent bones in your back. There’s only so much room for the nerve, ligaments, blood vessels, disc, and other tissues in that space. An injury, usually a lifting and twisting type motion, can irritate the disc and cause it to get inflamed.

That’s why it’s always good to put ice on a new injury. You want to try to shrink that inflamed disc. You should leave it on for 20 minutes. Don’t use heat. You could actually make it worse by bring more blood into the area, making it more inflamed.

The most common location for this to happen is between the last two bottom vertebrae in your back. That’s because this area has the biggest nerve, the disc here gets the most amount of pressure, and as you get older the discs have a tendency to dry out. This makes you lose some height as you age. The height of the disc decreases as well, making that opening smaller as well.

If this does happen, you might experience pain from the back going into the thigh through the hamstring muscle. That’s called “sciatica”.

If the ice doesn’t do the trick for you then you might need to call a “slipped disc chiropractor Denver”.

Dr. Ebeling has been treating these types of conditions since the late 1980’s and can help you feel better today. (303) 377-1755. His office is located at 3333 South Bannock St #235 in Englewood, CO 80110. It’s the Wells Fargo building on the second floor.

Deviated Septum Chiropractic

A lot of “secret knowledge” is handed down from one generation of chiropractors to the next when you actually get into practice. I was fortunate enough to have worked with a great chiropractor, Charles Kimmel, who took me under his wing when I first got into practice in 1990 at the age of 27 years old.

Dr. Kimmel knew a lot. He had been in practice 20 years before I even got started and he was a great mentor. He taught me how to adjust a deviated septum by doing it on me. This way not only would I know it worked, I would know what it felt like to have it done. He was like a Sensai, holding nothing back. Lol!

Since that time I have helped many many people get relief of their breathing problem from a deviated septum and I’m confident I can help you too.

Denver Chiropractor Reviews

Are you looking for a great chiropractor? Then you’ll probably want to check out their previous patient reviews online. There’s some great sources for this: Google, Angies List, HealthGrades, Facebook, Yelp.

The recommendations you get back will depend on what type of device you are searching with. If you’re on a laptop you will most likely use Google. An Android smart phone will also return Google listings. Google is the largest search engine on the planet.

If you using an iPhone or other smart device then the search results you get are going to be directly from Yelp.

Yelp makes it very difficult for many businesses to have positive reviews from their customers posted on their profile. In fact many of them will likely be “hidden”. I myself, as of today, have 5 Yelp Reviews showing. I then have 11 other reviews that are hidden from view. On my profile you have to scroll down past the reviews they do show and look for something like “11 other reviews that are not currently recommended”. Why won’t they show these reviews? Good question.

There’s a video on their site explaining why they hide these. That they use “automated software”. I don’t think this is true.

Yelp wants businesses to pay them money to show all their reviews and possibly hide the not so great ones, regardless of what the video says….

So if you do business with them and pay them money each month for advertising then they are your friend. This reminds me of the old days when the Mafia would go to the local business owners demanding “protection money” every month. They’re not a very ethical company.

So if you are looking for Denver Chiropractor Reviews and you find someone with a lot of great reviews from any source they probably know what they are doing.

Dr Ebeling Birthday Bash 2018 | Who won the Grill?

Dr Ebeling Birthday Bash 2018

To help celebrate the new Wells Fargo building office location AND 28 years in practice, I decided to have a party.  I gave away a new gas BBQ grill to one lucky patient.  To get into the drawing we asked that you simply help support the office by referring in a new patient.  We got 22 referrals and put all the names into a fishbowl.

Party Details

All established patients who came to the party got a FREE adjustment as a “Thank you” for being a patient.  We had free food; meatball and sausage subs from Rico’s Pizza.  We had chocolate cake with raspberry filling from Safeway, and french vanilla coffee from Dunkin Donuts.

Entertainment

Dr Ebeling knows how to throw a party!  We also had Craig Meadows come and play his guitar to entertain everyone while Dr Ebeling worked away adjusting everyone.  A special favorite is the Beatles song “Dr Robert” that Craig plays every time he comes by.

Who Won the Grill?

You have to watch the video to see…

Summary

It was a fun day!  If you weren’t there I’m sorry you missed it.  We’ll probably do it again next year.  If you have any ideas about special events we could do through the office, let me know.  It was such a fun event I was thinking about doing something for Oktoberfest.

Anterior Shoulder Dislocation

Anterior Shoulder Dislocation

What is an Anterior Shoulder Dislocation?

Anterior shoulder dislocation is when the head of the humerus (your arm bone) pops out of the joint and ends up looking like a ball under your collar bone.

Anterior shoulder dislocation

How does it happen?

In this case, the man was on a ladder and fell off, landing on his shoulder.  Luckily he didn’t break his collar bone in the process.

What does it look like?

The picture above sums it up. The affected shoulder way higher than the normal side.  He also had his arm extended out with his palm facing up.  The ability to move the arm was severely restricted.

How do you know if it will be okay?

That’s where the exam and x ray come into play.  I was able to move his arm without his assistance but it still hurt.  We went directly into x ray to take some pictures to see if anything was broken.

How do you fix it?

There is a technique where the patient lays on their back and the doctor puts his foot up in the patient’s arm pit.  The doctor grabs the patient’s wrist and traction’s down on the arm pulling it from lateral to medial across the mid line of the body.  This should relocate the arm back into it’s normal position.  Note this is good for anterior dislocations only.  Posterior dislocations are a different story.

How did the story end?

This patient was very happy I was able to relocate his shoulder back into place and he said he wanted to kiss me!  He started moving his arm all around again and I had to caution him that even though his anterior shoulder dislocation was reduced it could very easily pop out again so “take it easy!”
