“So Hi everybody it’s Dr. Robert Ebeling your chiropractor and today I’m talking with Jackie Miller from Xtreme Gym 24/7. How you doing today Jackie?

I’m doing good. How are you doing today?

I’m doing quite well Thanks!

Good.

So for those of you who don’t know, Xtreme Gym is where I do all my workouts.

They’re located down the street from my office on Santa Fe and Oxford and Jackie I just wanted to interview you today for the benefit of all my patients, who they want to find a gym, get in shape, lose some weight, build muscle. So can I ask you some questions?

Sure.

Great. So Xtreme Gym, that’s a great name. How did you guys come up with that?

Well me and my husband actually started Xtreme cagework, which was the police and firefighters cagefights. So we kind of branched the gym name off of that. That’s kind of where we came up with our name from.

So you guys did martial arts in the past?

Mm hmm. Yep, we did actual cage fights.

Wow! So how long you been in business over there?

3 years we been here.

That’s right, when I joined up you guys were having your 3 year anniversary.

Yes.

And what made you guys want to start a gym? Was it your idea or Greg’s?

Well actually it was kind of both of ours. We both have been into fitness for the last 30 years. We just decided to take that plunge, you know, follow our dreams and put all of our hard earned sweat and tears and everything into this business and yeah, we’ve always wanted to open up a gym.

Nice. Now Greg is your husband.

Yes.

And I understand he is on the Sheridan Police force?

He is, he’s a Sargent with Sheridan PD.

Wow, so you got to be in shape for that!

Yeah that’s why I think he wanted to open the gym too, so he could just have his own special gym to go to and work out.

Nice, do you guys have any other family members who work there?

We do. We have my stepson, Greg’s son Drew, who just turned 19. He’s actually wanting to learn the business, and we’re planning on sending him out to L.A. To be a Krav Maga instructor. He also teaches Brazilian Jujitsu now so we’re also getting his certification going for teaching higher levels of that as well.

Nice!. So it really is a family business

Yes it truly is”
